International machine tools and accessories for local industries
Machine tools supplier Lead Machine Tools is the South African agent for a number of high-tech international brands from Europe, the US, Taiwan, Japan and China meeting the requirements of local industries with a range of machine shop, job shop and production materials.
The company supplies, installs and supports a variety of computer numerical control (CNC) accessories, CNC tooling, conventional machines and related equipment.
Included in its range is ZOPO intelligent metal cutting equipment, such as:
- Vertical machining centers
- Horizontal turning centers
- Bridge type machining centers
The Hwacheon cutex series encompasses dynamic universal lathes with linear guideways for 6’’ to 8’’ chucks, as well as vertical turning, heavy duty turning and vertical machining equipment.
The Micro Dynamics range of machines includes vertical machining centers, a vertical pallet changing machine and 5-axis machining centers.
The range comes standard with various technologies, such as:
- 20 bar coolant & air through spindle
- Dypec thermal compensation
- Human-machine interface features 5 400 block look ahead
- Built-in dual contact spindle
- High speed automatic tool changer
- Meehanite casting, heavily ribbed
China-based fiber laser equipment company GLORYSTAR offers CNC fibre laser machines, laser welding machines, fibre marking lasers and hydraulic press brakes.
Miumac’s range of lathes from Kaida Machine Tools includes conventional lathes and CNC flat bed lathes.
Additional brands represented by Lead Machine Tools include:
- GOLDEN SUN: 4th and 5th Axis Rotary Tables
- TAILI: plastic injection moulding equipment
- ŠMT: horizontal boring machines, horizontal milling machines and horizontal lathes
- MITSUBISHI electrical discharge machining (EDM) and wire EDM
Lead Machine Tools also owns Renishaw probing/laser systems and software for machine accuracy, testing, repairs and maintenance.
The company will be exhibiting at the KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition to be held in Durban from 22 to 24 July 2025.
